As with the Blaser R93, the SV-98 rifle was developed at IZHMASH based on the 7.62 mm Record-CISM sports rifle—adjustable wooden stock (butt plate and cheek rest positions are flexible). An attachment for a folding bipod is located on the front of the store. In Chechnya, the SV-98 rifle is used by units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Sv 98 Rifle adjustable trigger force
With adjustable trigger force, the trigger mechanism is of the sport type. The front view has a front sight and a flexible rear sight standard on the rifle. Standard equipment includes a PKS-07 optical sight with a fixed magnification of 7X and an illuminated reticle.
This barrel is made by rotational forging and is cantilevered into the receiver. A silencer (low-noise shooting device) is usually attached to the muzzle of a rifle, which is generally protected by a massive muzzle.
At 300 meters, combat accuracy with “sniper” cartridges is about 50 millimetres, i.e., about 0.6 – 0.7 MOA or 0.6 – 0.7 arc minutes (at 300 meters, one arc minute equals approximately 76 – 78 millimetres). A maximum effective range of 800 meters is available for the SV-98.
